There are many ways you can make a split screen set-up like Mike does. Some operating systems have a feature like this pre-installed. It has been a feature of Windows since Windows 7 and it's now on Mac with OS X El Capitan. Many Linux operating systems, such as Ubuntu, also have this feature.

You can also download software to help you set up your space. Mike uses a program called Divvy for his set-up. Another popular (and free!) option is BetterTouchTool. Of course, you can also just resize and position the windows yourself!
